In July, water temperatures sit around 16°C. High-quality 7mm wetsuits with 3mm hooded vests are available for hire to keep you warm throughout your dives. Snorkellers are also welcome to explore the stunning marine life from the surface.

The Poor Knights Islands are approximately a three-hour drive from Auckland. Single-day trips are possible and can be tailored for day-trippers, though they do make for a full, exciting day. Divers typically complete two dives per day, with time allocated for travel, briefing, gear setup, and up to 45+ minutes underwater per dive. A single-dive day requires around five hours on the water plus travel time.

For the most relaxed experience, we recommend a pre or post-trip package that includes two dives and an overnight stay before or after your adventure.
